Enhancing English language skills in Berdavan
The Berdavan English Tutoring Project, established in June 2024 in the rural village of Berdavan, Armenia, was initiated by Narek Hambardzumyan, a student at Phillips Academy Andover, in partnership with the Mughdusyan Fund and the Art and Culture Center of Berdavan. Narek utilized the prize money he earned from winning chess tournaments to acquire and transport all the necessary materials and equipment to support the club. This innovative Berdavan English Tutoring Project operates through online English classes, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all participants. Narek offers weekly online classes free of charge, aimed at helping local youth improve their English language skills and access new opportunities.
